NORTH CLAY 58, PATOKA 42

The Cardinals rode the hot hand of Cody Yoho in the 16-point win.

Yoho netted a team-high 18-points as the Cardinals improved to 12-13 on the season in the victory.

Quade Coble and Logan Hilderbrand added 14 and 12-points as North Clay roared out to a 30-15 halftime advantage.

Patoka (10-18) saw its season come to a halt despite 23-points from sophomore Johnnie Cliff.

Jake Orrell added 11-points for the Warriors.

North Clay will now face top-seed St. Elmo on Wednesday night.

SOUTH CENTRAL 35, BROWNSTOWN 28
Coach Rick Simmons' Cougars picked up a low-scoring first round win over the Bombers behind balanced scoring.

No player on either team reached double-figures with Rudy hablewitz scoring nine points for South Central while teammates Colby Bushue and Fischer Tharp addeding eight and seven.

Colton Hunter topped the Brownstown club with nine points while sophomore Jacob Behrends and Austin Hunter added eight and seven points respectively as the Bombers saw their season close at 7-18.

South Central will play second seed Altamont on Wednesday night.

AT CRAB ORCHARD
GOREVILLE 82, THOMPSONVILLE 45
The Blackcats, the top seed at the Crab Orchard Regional, made quick work of the Tigers on Tuesday night by sprinting out to a 36-17 halftime lead.

Coach Todd Tripp's club got balanced scoring as they improved to 21-7 on the season.

Dayton Tripp led the way with 14-points while teammates Alex Andros and Zeke Snell chipped in 13 and 10 in the victory.

Thompsonville got 12-points from Lance Darnell as the Tigers ended its campaign at 8-19.

AT HUTSONVILLE-PALESTINE
OBLONG 62, GRAYVILLE 45
The Panthers survived a scare from the Bison as they came back from a 30-18 halftime deficit to advance to the semifinals.

Coach Brent Harper's club was outgunned 18-6 in the first quarter but rallied with a big third quarter to improve to 17-9 on the season.

The Panthers outscored Grayville (7-18) 26-6 in the third stanza and 18-9 in the final frame.

Anthony Johnson topped Oblong with 16-points while Sean Morecraft and Colin Meese added 12-points each.

Grayville saw its season come to an end with Christian Neeley scoring 13.

CISNE 37, CLAY CITY-NOBLE 32
The Lions beat the Wolves on Tuesday night for the fifth time in 2011-12 but never shook loose from their Midland Trail Conference rivals.

Coach Kevin Bowen saw his club struggle from the foul line (11-of-21) but managed to pick up the win to improve to 22-7.

Clay City-Noble fell to 9-20 on the season with Jordan Brown topping the Wolves with nine points.

AT MOUNDS MERIDIAN
EGYPTIAN 73, COBDEN 38
It took until the third quarter for the Pharaohs to get on track but once they did they rolled past the Appleknockers for the regional first round win.

Coach Matt Mandrell's club outscored Cobden 37-11 in the second half to move into the semifinals.

Devante Price scored 21-points while teammates Darmez Nelson and Marcus Marable added 20 and 15 in the victory as the Pharaohs improved to 22-6 on the season.

Cobden closed its season at 3-19 with JC Chapman topping the Appleknockers with 12-points while Tyler Lewey added 10.

CAIRO 89, SHAWNEE 55
The Pilots jumped out to a 21-7 first quarter lead and never let up in improving its mark to 11-13 on the season.

Terion Taylor netted a career-high 39-points in the defense optional contest for Cairo.

Nekuma Johnson and Cori Williams chipped in 13 and 12-points to the Pilots total.

Shawnee closed its season at 7-18 with Andrew Livesay scoring 20-points while Aiden McMahan scored 17.

Cairo will face Egyptian on Wednesday night following the Meridian/Century matchup.

AT STEELEVILLE
WALTONVILLE 54, ELVERADO 46
The Falcons put a scare into the third seeded Spartans but fell at the end.

Coach Chad Harper's Waltonville club led just 25-21 at the half and held off Elverado to improve to 12-16 on the season.

The Spartans were led by Jordan Hale with 20-points while Matt Rogers added 12.

Elverado closed its campaign at 3-24 with Casey Hicks leading the scoring with 13-points.

Waltonville will face New Athens Thursday night with the winner to face either Sesser-Valier or Steeleville in the regional title game on Friday.
