The Wildcats move on in the regional tournament with a win over GEC rival Hardin County on Monday night behind 18-points from Brody Walker, 16-points from Dylan Schwartz and 14-points from Justice Hill.

Coach Keil Peebles bunch knocked down 23-of-27 free throws, including 16-of-18 in the fourth quarter to improve their record to 11-16 on the season.

Hardin County (15-12) closed its season with a loss despite 22-points from junior guard Tyler Winters and 12-ppoints from Cameron Shaw.

The Cougars were just 8-of-15 from the foul line, as they trailed 27-22 at halftime.

Carrier Mills will face top-seed Goreville on Wednesday night.

The Cougars kept their season alive and the career of retiring head coach Rick Simmons going for at least one more contest with a win over the Hatchets in the opener at St. Elmo.

Brett Harmeier, after a cold first half, got going for South Central (13-15) with 15-points while he got help from freshman teammate Logan Lotz, who netted 16-points.

Dre Hill added 11-points for the Cougars who rallied from a 40-33 deficit in the fourth quarter for the stunning win.

Harmeier nailed a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and Hill hit 5-of-6 free throws in the fourth, 9-of-10 for the game.

For Windsor-Stew-Stras (13-13), the season came to a close with senior Tristen Warner closing his career with 15-points while junior Josh Overbeck added 10.

The Bison got a blistering performance from 6-foot-2 junior Kase Robinson who notched a career-best 40-points in the win over the Eagles.

Coach Brian Hucker's team has scored a lot of points in winning some late season games and Robinson hit four 3-pointers and nailed 10-of-14 free throws as Grayville (9-17) moved into the regional semifinals.

Six-foot-three junior Wyatt Hatcher added 13-points while Grant Leavens, a 5-foot-8 junior guard, added 10-points to the victory as only three Bison players scored.

Odin (8-14) got 21-points from senior Dustin Quick in the loss.

Coach Scott McElravy saw his club jump out to a 13-2 lead in the first quarter and put the game on ice in the third period as the Mules improved to 12-15 on the season.

Sky Kollack, a 6-foot-1 senior, netted 19-points in the victory while senior guard Colton Land added 11-points.

Jake Whipple netted eight-points for the Foxes, who bow out of the postseason with a 4-25 mark.
