SESSER-VALIER CLASS 1A REGIONAL
CRAB ORCHARD 63, CHRISTOPHER 49
Ben Kissing topped all scorers with 27-points as the Trojans moved to 28-2 on the season with a regional semifinal win over the Bearcats.
Drew Johnson added 11-points for Coach Jon Brown's club - champions of the Greater Egyptian Conference who now have a chance at the school's first ever regional championship.
Crab Orchard jumped out to a 19-4 first quarter lead and cruised home with the win.
The Bearcats saw their season close at 12-14 despite 15-points from Steven Dial and 10-points each from Devin Austill and Scott Marchetti.

GOREVILLE CLASS 1A REGIONAL
MERIDIAN 89, EGYPTIAN 77
In a high scoring battle between SEC rivals - the Bobcats got into the regional championship with a win over the Pharaohs.
Coach Jeff Mandrell got the best of brother Matt Mandrell - Egpytian's head coach - in a battle of 20-plus win teams.
Each team put four players in double-figures but it was Meridian that broke lose with a 10-0 run in the fourth quarter to get separation and eventually a date with Gorevill on Friday night.
Meridian (25-5) was led by Cameron Ballard with 23-points while teammate Daryl Rayford added 22.
The Bobcats got 16-points apiece from Jerry Johnson and Joshua Jones in the win.
Egyptian (22-7) ended their splended season with Darmez Nelson netting a team-best 22-markers.
Jhermarien Terry and Devantae Price chipped in 19-each in the loss.
Meridian held off Egyptian by hitting 6-of-8 free throws in the fourth quarter.

NEW ATHENS CLASS 1A REGIONAL
STEELEVILLE 69, CHESTER 52

For the first time since 2005 the Steeleville Warriors are in a regional championship game following the 17-point win over their Randolph County rival Yellow Jackets.
Coach Gerald Mumbower's Warriors got 18-points each from Andrew Pokrzywinski and Coire Reel in the victory to improve to 21-9 on the season. Colin Smith added 11-points while Nick Potter chipped home 10.
The Warriors pulled away with a big second half as they eliminated Chester (12-14).
Justin Woodward and Zach Lochhead ended their Yellow Jacket careers by netting 19 and 15-points respectively in the loss. Steeleville will take on top-seeded Trico Friday night.

RED HILL CLASS 1A REGIONAL
RED HILL 54, CISNE 37

The Salukis reached its third consecutive regional title game with a win over Cisne at home.
Coach Bryan Havill's club improved to 15-12 on the season with Robert Young scoring 21-points to top all scorers while teammate Cameron Lawson added nine points.
Red Hill broke up a close contest with a 16-6 third quarter advantage to end the Lions' season at 15-13.
Coach Kevin Bowen's Cisne crew was led by Dustin Atteberry with 17-points.
Red Hill will meet fellow Little Illini Conference rival Oblong in the finale on Friday night.
The Panthers topped their Crawford County nemesis Hutsonville-Palestine, 58-41 in the second game on Thursday.
