After a close first quarter in which the host Rangers led just 12-10, Coach Ron Winemiller's club went on a 14-0 run to open the second quarter which put the Warriors in the taillights.

Six-seven junior forward Docker Tedeschi netted 26-points to go along with 14-rebounds as the Rangers won their 30th game of the season.

Senior Luke Melvin added 13-points for Benton, who advanced to face top-ranked Breese Central on Friday.

Senior guards Isaac Billington and Evan Munoz added six-points each in the win.

Coach Brent Brede's Warriors closed their season at 29-5.

Six-seven senior post man Seth Macke and 6-2 senior guard Harrison Rakers led the way with nine-points each for Wesclin as no one hit for double-figures.

Jayden Bazile nailed a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give his Silver Stallions a shocking win over the Warriors on Wednesday night.

The junior guard scored 25-points, including seven 3-pointers in the victory as CORL improved to 19-15 on the season and moved into the first boy's basketball sectional final in the program's history.

Five-seven senior Lendon Isiah added 10-points for CORL.

Tuscola, after having finished third in the state a season ago was derailed from a second-straight trip to Champaign and finished the season at 28-6.

Senior guard Josiah Hortin finished his career with a 13-point effort while 6-5 junior Sawyer Woodard added 10-points.

Jordan Quinn scored seven-points and Kam Sweetnam scored eight.

CORL will face Arcola Friday night for the sectional championship.
